On July 2, State Grid Chongqing Dazu Power Supply Company successfully completed the cable repair work of the public distribution room in a residential area to ensure that more than 100 residents spend the summer coolly.

Entering July, the temperature in Dazu District continued to rise, and the rolling heat wave continued to push up the load of the power grid. At about 6:50 a.m. on July 2, the urban power supply center of State Grid Chongqing Dazu Power Supply Company received a repair call that the Nanjin Garden Community, Wenchang Road, Tangxiang Street, lost power, and hoped to go to the emergency repair to restore the power supply as soon as possible. The company immediately organized personnel to arrive at the scene to investigate the cause of the failure, communicate with customers, and discuss emergency repairs.

Built in 2003, the Nanjin Garden Community has 144 households, all of which are powered by the communal distribution room in the community. After careful investigation and testing on site, it was found that under the dual influence of the recent high temperature and the aging of the equipment, a group of cable terminals in the distribution room burst and caused power loss in the community. Considering the current weather conditions and residents' electricity demand, the company's employees decided to immediately apply for emergency power generation vehicles to provide on-site support, restore power first, and then repair to ensure that the emergency repair operation does not affect the normal electricity consumption of residents. At around 8 o'clock in the morning, the emergency power generation vehicle was successfully connected to provide temporary power supply to the residents of the community.

At the repair site, the company's employees formulated a repair plan according to local conditions, and quickly entered the power distribution room to replace the faulty cable after taking safety protection measures, and the repair work was carried out in an intense and orderly manner. Under the scorching sun of hot weather, the outdoor power distribution room was extremely stuffy, and the company's employees were busy with full attention, sweat sliding down their cheeks and necks, soaking through their work clothes.

At 11 o'clock in the morning, the fault cable repair was successfully completed, and the company's employees carried out a withstand voltage test on the cable, and after the test, it met the power transmission conditions and restored the power supply of the public distribution room.

At present, the State Grid Chongqing Dazu Power Supply Company has opened the "peak summer" mode, formulated a special inspection plan for the peak summer, continued to carry out special patrols and special protection of important substations and transmission channels, accurately grasped the operation status of power grid equipment, found and eliminated potential safety hazards in a timely manner, and made every effort to ensure that the residents in the supply area spent the summer coolly.
